For free search, use the Internet rental sites. There are many apartment rental sites where you can get the idea about the rental market. Often times, you will find that the listings on the online rental sites are not up to date or they charge you for their service. The most popular online rental search site is Craigslist.
Leases
Be prepared to sign a one-year lease. For most apartments, you will be asked to pay the first month rent plus a security deposit in advance. Security deposit often equals with one-month rent.
